With my second loss of network, due to the flooding, I found myself sitting down to watch one of the DVD’s I was given for Christmas by my Mum.
Red Dog (2011). A fantastic tale, based on a true story of a dog that became an inspiration to many in an outback mining town in Western Australia. With a ripper Australian cast, and amazing 70′s Oz rock soundtrack, its a movie that is going to make you laugh and cry. Even if you aren’t a dog person, I highly recommend it, when you get the chance.

In the tradition of Lassie, and adapted from the Louis de Bernieres best-selling novel, Red Dog is based on a true story. In this warm-hearted story, Red Dog becomes a legend with the wild outback locals. Along the way, Red Dog finds the person he’s been searching for…Sometimes you pick the dog. Sometimes the dog picks you!
